Kepler's Harp

Compose with gravity — a playable orbital music instrument.

Compose with gravity — a playable orbital music instrument.

About

Kepler’s Harp turns a miniature solar system into an ambient polyrhythmic instrument. Each planet is a synthesized voice, each orbit is a clock, and every crossing of the central beam creates a note. Move worlds to reshape rhythm, choose scales and timbres, audition individual bodies, mute voices, and share a deterministic composition in one compact URL. Built with Web Audio, Canvas, and precise orbital geometry, it needs no account, database, runtime inference, or paid API at rest. The interface is responsive at 390px, keyboard-accessible, motion-aware, and hardened for mobile audio lifecycle failures. It is benchmarked against Ableton Note for first-touch immediacy and tactile finish while replacing the familiar sequencer grid with spatial motion.
